The Miter Angle Calculator helps carpenters, woodworkers and installers find the saw cut angle and the real length factor to join two pieces at an angle. For a 90° corner, you just cut 45° on each piece, but for other angles like 60° (hexagon), 120° (V joint) or 135° (soft corner), the math changes.

To use it, enter the joint angle between the two pieces and the material width. The tool shows the miter angle, the bevel angle (for sloped cuts such as baseboards), the length factor (how much longer the piece must be than the final measurement) and the extra material needed to compensate for the diagonal cut. The page also draws the two pieces meeting so you can visualise the result.

Use the values on the miter saw or circular saw with a guide, adjusting the protractor to the calculated angle. In woodworking, checking the angle before cutting saves material and finishing time.

For a 90° corner, the miter is 45° on each piece. For other angles, the formula changes. Use the presets for common values.
