Minecraft Coordinate Distance Calculator
Measure 2D and 3D distance between two Minecraft coordinates, compare axis deltas, and estimate the equivalent Nether route.
Use this Minecraft coordinate distance calculator to measure the gap between bases, villages, portals, farms, or any other points on your map. It shows horizontal XZ distance, full 3D distance, and the movement on each axis so you can plan tunnels, rails, and travel routes faster.
Enter a starting point and an ending point with X, Y, and Z coordinates. The result explains the straight-line distance, the simple orthogonal path length, and the approximate Nether equivalent for long-distance portal planning.
This is useful in survival worlds and large servers alike because it helps with route comparisons, structural alignment, and moving builds across different regions without guessing the numbers by hand.
Use clear inputs to get a more useful result.
When to use 2D vs 3D distance in Minecraft
2D distance only uses X and Z, so it is best for map travel, portal spacing, and base alignment. 3D distance adds height, which makes it more useful for mines, mountains, towers, and any build spread across different elevations.
Reading the axis deltas
The delta card shows how far you need to move east or west, up or down, and north or south. That makes it easier to lay out straight corridors, branch tunnels, and exact meeting points without manual subtraction.
Nether travel conversion
In Minecraft, eight horizontal blocks in the Overworld equal one block in the Nether. The calculator converts both coordinates so you can plan connected portals and long travel routes with fewer mistakes.
