Edge Banding Calculator

The Edge Banding Calculator helps carpenters and hobbyists estimate how many linear metres of edge banding they need for a project by summing the perimeter of the visible faces and accounting for cutting and glueing loss.

To use it, enter the length of the roll you usually buy (in metres), a loss margin in percent, and add each part with its name, length, width, quantity and the side configuration. The tool sums the total in millimetres, converts it to linear metres, applies the loss and tells you how many full rolls you should buy.

This is an initial estimate and helps you avoid running out of banding mid-project. Combine this reading with a physical check of the parts before finalising your banding purchase.
